Cable landing stations in the Tuckerton, NJ area

Active cable landing stations for various submarine telephone cables located in the Tuckerton, NJ area.

Photos 4060 through 4066 show the AT&T station, with new architectural construction in support of TAT-14 and the older original building to the right of it seen in 4064.  This station is the historic home of the first transatlantic coaxial telephone cable to the US mainland, TAT-3 (TAT 1 and 2 landed in Newfoundland, Canada).  Other cables landing here included TAT-4, TAT-7, and TAT-8.  Photos 4067 through 4068 show a second cable landing station in Tuckerton hosting an unknown cable or cables, possibly the 360 Americas cable.
